Friends: The Reunion brought a lot of joy to the cast and fans alike.

But, it also brought something else to the show's six stars ... a major payday!

In the early 2000's, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox, and Matthew Perry made history when they negotiated salaries of US$1 million per episode each, making them the highest-paid television actors ever.

And according to reports, it was a matter of history repeating itself, with the stars again joining forces to negotiate whopping salaries for the highly-anticipated TV special.

So, how much did they make?

Variety has reported that the stars were being paid at least US$2.5 million each to revisit the show and their characters.

Which is quite the salary for a cruisy day spent reuniting and reminiscing.

On top of all of that, the cast also gets about US$20m each year in syndication payments.

Friends aired for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004. The complete series of Friends and The Reunion is available to stream online at TVNZ OnDemand.
