In honour of Freddie Mercury and Queen, some of the biggest names in music came together over the weekend to cover the legendary rockers' songs for the The Queen Family Singalong.

But it was Adam Lambert's incredible performance of 'The Show Must Go On' that stole the show.

Putting his showmanship and powerhouse vocals on full display, the current Queen frontman belted out the 1991 hit song - and whenever he hit those high notes, you couldn't help but break out into chills.

Ahead of the performance, Lambert said the track is one of the group's most meaningful.

"I'm going to be singing 'The Show Must Go On,' and from what I found out over the years, this was a very important moment for Freddie. It was towards the end of his life and this song took on really powerful meaning for him.

"It was written by Brian May, and he's told me about the recording session that Freddie was weak, and it was hard for him, but he powered through and Brian his voice was just stellar on it. And you can hear it now if you listen to the recording, he sounds magical."

The Queen Family Singalong celebrated 50 years of the iconic rock group.

The one-hour special also featured performances from Fall Out Boy, OneRepublic, Derek Hough, Pentatonix and more.
