American synth-pop band performs funky cover of Tina Turner's 'We Don’t Need Another Hero'

Ahead of Tina Turner's upcoming documentary coming to the small screen, American synth-pop band Future Islands have released a funky live cover of legendary singer's 'We Don’t Need Another Hero' - and we are loving it!

Putting their own unique spin on the hit song, Future Islands have taken Turner’s pop-rock original and thrown in some synths to create an '80s-style synth-pop rendition.

The track was recorded as part of Future Island’s new live session on SiriusXMU.

It comes weeks before the US premiere of TINA, the documentary centred around the singer’s life and career.
