We have some disappointing news for ABBA fans ...

If you were hoping the Swedish pop supergroup would follow the likes of Freddie Mercury and Elton John and have their life's story told in a feature-length film, you might be waiting a while.

Björn Ulvaeus has revealed he doesn't want ABBA to be the subject of a biopic because he would hate seeing an actor portray him on the big screen.

And he believes his bandmates - Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad - would feel the same.

Speaking about the possibility of a biopic, he said: "I don't think we would want that actually.

• It turns out ABBA's Anni-Frid Lyngstad is actually a royal princess!
• Björn Ulvaeus says ABBA are closer than ever since coming together to record new music

"I certainly know myself I wouldn't want an actor – not while I'm alive – to play me on the big screen and I don't think the others would like that either."

We'll keep our fingers crossed they change their minds!
