In the words of Sir Elton John; The b**** is back and better than ever!

After a two year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 74-year-old music legend took to the stage for the first time at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Wednesday night.

And while his setlist remained largely the same as the earlier legs of the tour, the 'Tiny Dancer' singer treated concertgoers to his live debut of his new mash-up track with Dua Lipa, 'Cold Heart.'

Introducing the song to the crowd, he told fans it was time for "something a bit more up to date" before playing it as the first encore.

Unfortunately, Dua Lipa wasn't present, but that didn't stop the audience from singing along with her pre-recorded vocals.

The mash-up track is a dance remix created by the Australian dance act Pnau, featuring Dua singing lines from Elton's 1972 classic 'Rocket Man' and Elton singing lines from his 1990 hit 'Sacrifice.'

The tour continues Saturday night at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

His tour this year spans North America, Europe and back to North America, before heading to Australia and New Zealand next year.

He hasn't announced a final date of the tour yet, but he’s indicated he may play select shows after it ends.
