Sir Elton John has just treated fans to a new take on an old track!

The 73-year-old has unveiled his previously unheard demo for 'Here’s To The Next Time' from 1967 - and we are loving the bluesy rendition.

Penned by the Rocket Man himself prior to working with his longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin, the completed version ended up as the B-side to his rare 1968 debut single 'I've Been Loving You.'

But now he's sharing the early demo with the world with the release of his 8-disc collection Elton: Jewel Box, which is billed as a collection of "buried treasures, precious gems and sparkling collectables from the legendary musician.

The track is just one of 148 offerings that will feature on the singer's upcoming box set, which is set for release on November 13.

"To delve back through every period of my career in such detail for Jewel Box has been an absolute pleasure," John noted in a press release announcing the set.

"Hearing these long-lost tracks again, I find it hard to comprehend just how prolific Bernie and I were during the early days. The songs just poured out of us, and the band were just unbelievable in the studio."
