Award-winning opera star Dame Kiri Te Kanawa is celebrating a bountiful life, turning 76 years old today!

So to celebrate, we're throwing it back to when she took centre stage at the highly anticipated wedding of Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer at St Paul's Cathedral in 1981.

In front of royalty, heads of state, distinguished guests, and a television audience of over 700 million, Te Kanawa sang 'Let the Bright Seraphim’ from Handel's Samson while the bride and groom signed the register.
