Hilary Barry, the woman who singlehandedly kept New Zealanders from slumping on the sofa in their pyjamas during the nationwide lockdown, has given fans a glimpse of the fabulous outfit she will be wearing at this year's Farmers Santa Parade in Auckland.

Announcing the exciting news she would be leading the parade on social media, she wrote: "What an honour to be asked to be Grand Marshal for the Farmers Santa Parade this weekend.

"Now all I’ve got to do is find a costume!"

Alongside the post, the much-loved TV presenter shared a photo of her donning a red, white and green sequined candy cane costume.

This will be the 87th time the annual parade will make its way down Queen St.
