Kate Middleton and Mary Berry's Christmas TV special is coming to TVNZ 1!

Royal fans and Great British Bake-Off fans get excited.

Because three of the greats have collaborated and Kiwi viewers are finally getting to watch the special moment!

Last Christmas it was revealed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had teamed up with celebrity chef Mary Berry for A Berry Royal Christmas - and it is coming to New Zealand screens on Wednesday 23 December at 8.35pm, on TVNZ 1.

The Christmas special offers viewers a unique look into charities that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge support.

Mary also prepares a feast for a Christmas party hosted by the royal couple for the volunteers and gets help preparing the dishes from special guests including former Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain - and the Duke and Duchess themselves!

Throughout the programme, Mary also cooks some of her favourite Christmas recipes for viewers to try out at home.

During the Christmas special, we'll hear Prince William open up about how his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and his parents, Princess Diana and Prince Charles have inspired him to continue to use his platform and influence for good and give back to the communities that need it the most.

"Growing up, both of my parents were hugely charitable," Prince William says when asked where his motivation for his charity work comes from.

"My father set up the Prince's Trust. He's involved in so many different organisations. My mother has done her work with homelessness and as you said Aids and other charities, and I think I've grown up in a household which has been very much a case of, 'Well, we're very lucky — you must give back.'"

"And you know, my grandmother becoming Queen at a very young age, int he days when it was a man's world. it was very difficult for her to... make a difference. And so she's done it. In her own unique, distinct way, and you know, my grandmother and my grandfather together are the epitome of public service," he continued.

While the 85-year-old food writer will also join Kate behind the scenes to learn more about her "commitment to the early years in raising the next generation of happy, healthy children."

This won't be the first the Duchess of Cambridge and Mary have been in each other's company.

The pair first met in 2013 at an event for Child Bereavement UK, an organization both are patrons of.

More recently they both attended the launch of a children's garden in Woking, England.
