Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcome their first child together

Congratulations are in order for Katy Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom!

The couple have welcomed their first child together into the world - a baby girl called Daisy Dove Bloom.

Announcing the exciting news on UNICEF's Instagram page, the couple shared an adorable photo of their newborn daughter's hand wrapped around her father's thumb, while Katy - sporting a daisy design on her nail, held her baby girl's hand.

"Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honoured to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's new bundle of joy," the post read.

The 35-year-old singer and Orlando - who also has nine-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr - wrote in a statement: "We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter."

The couple also admitted they were fortunate to have had a "peaceful" birthing experience, while using the announcement to encourage people to donate to UNICEF.

"We know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was," the post continued.
