Kelly Clarkson performs powerful live cover of Whitney Houston's 'Saving All My Love For You'

Kelly Clarkson sure knows her way around a love tune — and what better love song than 'Saving All My Love For You?'

Kicking off Friday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the American Idol winner paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a powerful cover of her 1985 hit.

For her rendition, the 39-year-old singer stayed faithful to the classic - throwing in those high notes as per usual.

'Saving All My Love For You' was released as the second single on Whitney's self-titled debut studio album.

The song went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US and also reached number one in the UK as well.
