Cyclist Aaron Gate has sprinted into history at the Commonwealth Games.

Gate has become the first New Zealander to win four gold medals at one Games after he won the men's road race today.

Not long after Gate's success, Paul Coll and Joelle King clinched New Zealand's 19th gold medal in the squash mixed doubles.

Meanwhile, the White Ferns impressively sealed bronze with a surprisingly dominant eight-wicket thumping of England, quietening the home crowd at Edgbaston.

And the Silver Ferns also beat hosts England 55-48 in front of a raucous Birmingham crowd, to walk away with the bronze medal.

Congratulations to all our athletes!
