Who did it better? George Michael or Lewis Capaldi?

The Scottish singer has released the video for his latest single, 'Forget Me,' and WHAM! fans are loving it.

Capaldi has remade Wham!’s iconic 1983 music video for 'Club Tropicana' shot-for-shot.

The footage shows the 25-year-old stripped down to his underwear and sipping cocktails by the pool, along with the famous scene of trumpet-playing taking place in the pool.

The video was filmed by Award-winning director Louis Bhose at Pikes Hotel in Ibiza, which was also the setting for the original WHAM! video.

And fans of Capaldi have praised the singer for paying homage to the late pop star.

One person said: "I think George Michael would have laughed his arse off at this. A wonderful homage to the video of 'Club Tropicana' by Lewis Capaldi. Scene for scene accurate. Well done."

Another said: "Fair play to Lewis Capaldi. His new music video is just an amazing homage to Wham's famous 'Club Tropicana' video. The attention to detail is so great, even down to the opening graphics. Superb."

'Forget Me' was released last week and is Capaldi's first music since the release of the extended edition of his 2019 debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.

Micheal died of a heart attack and liver complications at the age of 53.
