Meghan Markle's father reveals a bizarre detail of Meghan's first wedding

After Thomas Markle failed to rekindle his relationship with his daughter through staged paparazzi shots and countless text messages, he has decided to change his plan of attack.

His new plan involves releasing private cards, photos, and details of Meghan's first wedding to a tabloid newspaper.

Thomas hopes to prove that he once had a loving relationship with his daughter by showing the world the "evidence" that he still possesses from it.

One of the cards that Thomas released to the papers shows how Meghan gifted him $2000 to go on a holiday, while a different card says: "I love you with all of my heart now and forever."

Thomas also revealed intimate details of Meghan's first wedding including how the guests were presented with marijuana as a wedding favour.

Despite the drug being illegal in Jamaica, Thomas insisted that it was "no big deal."

He added that he had "micro-managed everything" around the wedding.

When presented with recent reports of the Duchess by the Mail on Sunday, Thomas said: "I don't recognise this person. The Meghan I know was always sweet, kind, generous. She was always demanding but never rude."

Thomas also referenced a conversation that he had with Prince Harry while he was in hospital: "I apologised to Harry on the phone and all he said was, 'If you'd listened to me [about how to deal with the media], none of this would have happened'.

Despite Thomas' attempts to contact them, Meghan and Harry have remained silent throughout the Markle family's troubles, and continue to stay that way.
