Over three decades ago, pop-rock duo Tears For Fears released their eerie synth track 'Mad World'.

And now - on the song's 38th anniversary - Pentatonix have put their own spin on the hit song - and it is truly beautiful!

Singing the iconic song in a cappella, the quintet gives the track an elegant and soulful sound.

The three-time Grammy Award-winning group also dropped a poignant music video to go with the eerie song, featuring the group amid a dark scene, belting the song and the pensive chorus.

Bass singer Matt Sallee said the song was his "new favourite thing we've done."

Chills!
