She may be married to one of the world's biggest rockstars, but it turns out Penny Lancaster is just like the rest of us ...

The former model has opened up about her weight struggles after turning to food and drink for comfort during the UK's coronavirus lockdown.

But that a change in diet and exercise helped her lose a total of 17lbs (8kg) in weight and an impressive four inches from her waistline.

Taking to Instagram, the 49-year-old shared a side-by-side before and after snap, which showed her in a white bra and a pair of blue jeans.

Next to the pictures, she wrote: "During the lockdown I found myself entering my menopause and the side effects were exaggerated by the anxiety and fear for the virus and the unknown.

"I turned to food and drink as comfort and gained over a stone (6.5kg)."
