ROYAL BABY: Princess Beatrice announces the name of her new royal baby

Two weeks after welcoming their first child together into the world, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have revealed the name of their baby daughter — and it includes a touching tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.

Announcing the exciting news today, Buckingham Palace revealed the baby girl has been named Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.

The royal couple confirmed her name on social media alongside a sweet image of an imprint of her feet.

Sienna was born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London at 23.42 on Saturday 18 September, weighing 6lb 2oz.

At the time, a palace spokesperson said the Princess and her husband were "delighted" to announce the safe arrival of their daughter.

The statement added: "The new baby's grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.

"Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf."

The 33-year-old was admitted to the hospital on the Friday, with Edoardo at her side.

The newborn is the Queen's 12th great-grandchild, and the fourth born this year.

She will be 11th in line to the throne.

The baby is the second child for Edoardo, who has son Christopher - known affectionately as Wolfie - from a previous relationship with Dara Huang, an American architect.

Beatrice and Edoardo tied the knot in a scaled-down ceremony attended by only close family and friends, including Beatrice's grandparents Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, on July 17, 2020 at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge Windsor.

They cancelled their original wedding plans set for May 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
