Royal family share photos of young Queen Elizabeth to celebrate her 94th birthday

The Royal Family has shared a slideshow of photos of Her Majesty, as she celebrated her 94th birthday earlier this week. 

The birthday slideshow included rare photos of Queen Elizabeth in her childhood years and contained brief captions of each picture's situation. 

Also included in the slideshow was a photo of Elizabeth as a 6-year-old, standing next to a miniature cottage, which was given to her as a birthday present from the people of Wales. 

Queen Elizabeth II took the throne on 6 February 1952 as a 25-year-old, following the death of her father, King George VI.
