ROYAL TOUR: Kate Middleton channels Princess Diana with elegant outfit on arrival in Pakistan

She's known for her iconic and classic sense of style, continually wowing the world with her stunning outfits.

And today was no exception.

All eyes were on Kate Middleton as she touched down in Islamabad, Pakistan, ahead of her first official five-day tour of the Islamic country with her husband, Prince William.

Taking inspiration from the late Princess Diana, the royal mum-of-three looked flawless in a floaty ombré aqua blue and white bespoke Catherine Walker Shalwar Kameez - which is a traditional Pakistani outfit comprised of a loose-fitting tunic top with pants underneath.

The cropped-length gown also boasted an elegantly draped neckline.

To finish off her look Kate accessorised with a pair of nude pumps and a pearl clutch bag.

Many couldn't help but notice that the chic outfit bared a striking resemblance to an outfit worn by Princess Diana in 1996, during a visit to The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, in Pakistan.

The late royal also chose a long dress over trousers in a similar shade of light blue during her visit.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's arrival marks their first visit to the country, also making them the first royals to visit the troubled nation for 13 years.

The visit was arranged at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, due to political tensions and security concerns in the region.

However, due to a recent a bombing outside a shrine in central Lahore and an attack by armed militants on the Pearl Continental Hotel in Gwadar, Balochistan, the palace has made the decision to keep details of the Duke and Duchess's engagements undisclosed until the day.

The couple is expected to meet government leaders, significant cultural figures alongside those who run programmes aimed at empowering young people.

The tour also hopes to strengthen ties between the UK and Pakistan.
