Sol3 Mio wow Breakfast viewers with beautiful cover of Lewis Capaldi's 'Hold Me While You Wait'

After having their nationwide tour postponed halfway through due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Sol3 Mio stopped by TVNZ's Breakfast this morning to serenade viewers.

Performing a beautiful cover of Lewis Capaldi's song 'Hold Me While You Wait,' Moses Mackay, Pene Pati, and Amitai Pati harmonised perfectly together on the emotional ballad.

Before belting out their touching rendition, the trio spoke about having to reschedule their tour again.

"I feel like every time we schedule, it gets cancelled. Third time lucky, I feel like this is third time lucky," Pene said.

"If it gets cancelled again, it must be us," he joked.

Moses also spoke about how they were finishing up their final performance in the South Island, in the Christchurch Town Hall, when "all the alarms went off".

"The emergency alarms went off," he said. "Mid-verse, mid-song, we had to stop and we were just like, 'You know what? Keep singing. We're going to sing through the night.'

The boys have since rescheduled the tour, kicking off in Auckland on March 30.
