The most anticipated part of any royal wedding is the wedding dress ...

And in a surprising break from past royal brides, rather than enlisting a couturier to craft a custom garment, Princess Beatrice went vintage - wearing a gown that belongs to her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Choosing the Norman Hartnell creation - which featured short organza sleeves and diamanté - for her wedding dress was a touching tribute to Her Majesty.

But now, thanks to the magic of photoshop, someone has taken the 32-year-old's tribute to the next level.

Combining an image of the Queen wearing the dress in the 1960s with an image of Beatrice in it on her wedding day last year - the duo look the picture of elegance holding hands together.

While it is unclear who created the image, the sweet picture has been rapidly circulating on social media.

Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in an intimate ceremony on 17 July 2020 at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor.
