Taron Egerton has assured fans he's "completely fine" after he collapsed on stage midway through the opening night performance of his new play.
The Rocketman star was forced off stage at the Ambassadors Theatre in Leicester Square after passing out and was replaced last minute by his understudy, Joel Harper-Jackson, for the final 15 minutes of the production.
After completing three-quarters of the play opposite Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey, the 32-year-old suddenly took ill and collapsed.
According to the Independent, the curtain came down and a doctor in the audience rushed to the stage to assist.
Forty minutes later, the show's director appeared on stage to assure the audience that the actor was "fine."
Following the inciedent, Egerton took to Instagram to reassure his fans saying: "As some of you may have heard, I passed out during the first performance of COCK last night.
"I am completely fine. Slightly sore neck and a bruised ego, but I'm fine.
"I've decided to put a positive spin on it and I would appreciate it if anyone who was in the theatre last night just said that I gave such a committed, electrifying performance that my body couldn't handle it and checked out."
He continued: "That being said, apparently you're meant to actually do the full show and not just three quarters of it. So I'll be back with a vengeance tomorrow night.
"Thank you to the amazing team at the theatre and my wonderful cast mates for being so lovely.
"But mainly I wanted to say thanks to Joel Harper Jackson who stepped in to do the last bit of the play. Joel is an amazing actor and a lovely person. Thank you, Joel. T x."
We're glad you're feeling better Taron!
