The Chase's Mark 'The Beast' Labbett signs up for new TV show following marriage breakdown

The Chase is easily one of the most popular shows in the country, so it surprised us to hear that Mark Labbett is set to star in another TV show ...

It turns out the Beast - who has been a part of The Chase since it first began in 2009 - is on the quest for love again, after signing up to Celebs Go Dating.

The 55-year-old TV quizzer will join a host of other stars on the upcoming series, following his marriage breakdown to wife Katie earlier this year.

The couple - who have a three-year-old son together - spent 18 months trying to make their unconventional marriage work after it was revealed she had been secretly dating a younger man for more than a year.

Following the announcement he would be getting some help from dating coaches Anna Williamson and Paul Brunson on the show, a source told The Sun: "Mark has been very open about the fact he's not especially romantic.

"Flirting doesn't come easily to him but he's open to finding love again.

"He's a big lovable giant with a heart of gold but his dating adventures will be something to behold."

Mark and Katie met on Facebook in 2010 and tied the knot at Arundel Cathedral in West Sussex in 2014.
