It's a cover you probably never ever imagined you would hear, but the iconic lyrics from the Bee Gees have been given a metal makeover ... and it's not all that bad.

Putting their own spin on the '70s classic, American punk band Tragedy have released their rocking rendition of the classic Bee Gees hit 'Stayin' Alive' as a teaser for their upcoming new album.

And the result is straight out of metal heaven.

The single will feature on the band's new album Disco Balls To The Wall, which is set to be released on July 30.

The collection will feature new mixes of Tragedy's most beloved songs, including ABBA's 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)' and 'Dancing Queen,' Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta's 'You're The One That I Want,' Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline,' the Bee Gees' 'How Deep Is Your Love,' Toto's 'Africa' and Bonnie Tyler's 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart.'
