As the country music community continues to mourn the loss of the legendary Kenny Rogers, Carrie Underwood has paid a touching tribute to the music icon.
Taking to Instagram, the 'Before He Cheats' songstress shared three different photos of herself with Kenny, reminiscing on the incredible time she got to share the stage with him.
In tribute to Dolly Parton and her contributions to popular culture, the duo performed the iconic song, 'Islands In The Stream' at the 2006 Kennedy Center Honours ceremony.
And we just love how excited Dolly got when she saw her collaborator and long-time friend walk out on stage.
"Country music has lost one of its pillars," Carrie wrote alongside the photos. "Sing with the angels and talk to God, Kenny. Bless you for being a part of so many lives."
The Queen of Country Music originally recorded the hit with Kenny in 1982.
Kenny died on Friday 20 March from natural causes at the age of 81.
