Today is Adam Lambert's birthday - so we're throwing it back to 2009 when he was just a young man from Indianapolis.
Before he was a solo artist, and furthermore the frontman of Queen, Adam Lambert was just a massive fan of Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon and Freddie Mercury.
In 2009, Lambert auditioned for American Idol, singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody' - a song he now sings on some of the biggest stages around the world.
Lambert would eventually finish runner-up to Kris Allen in American Idol but has since almost certainly become the biggest music star the show has produced.
In Lambert's initial audition, he makes it through to Hollywood with four yes's from the judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell, but not after some typical Simon Cowell feedback.
Who could have known that this talent show audition could have paved the way for the now-frontman on one of the world's best-selling bands?
