Before he was a solo artist, and furthermore the frontman of Queen, Adam Lambert was just a massive fan of Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon and Freddie Mercury.

In 2009, Lambert auditioned for American Idol, singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody', but who could have known it may have also been an audition for Queen's top job.

Lambert would eventually finish runner-up to Kris Allen in American Idol but has since almost certainly become the biggest music star the show has produced.

In Lambert's initial audition, he makes it through to Hollywood with four yes's from the judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell, but not after some typical Simon Cowell feedback.
