Texas Mayor hilariously forgets to turn off his mic while going to the toilet

It appears the mayor of Georgetown in Texas has a thing or two to learn about modern technology ...

Mayor Dale Ross took a break in the middle of a city council meeting to use the bathroom but accidentally left his microphone on.

Just as city councilwoman Rachel Jonrowe began to speak about the very serious topic of antibiotic resistance, the mayor could be heard relieving himself in the restroom.

Ms Jonrowe did her best to stay stoic during the speech but couldn't help but break down in fits of laughter as the mayor flushed the toilet - and seemingly didn't wash his hands - before rejoining the meeting.
