The Chase's Shaun Wallace left red-faced after getting New Zealand geography question wrong

The Chase's Shaun Wallace is a man of many talents ... but it turns out knowing New Zealand geography isn't one of them.

During a recent episode of the much-loved quiz show, the Dark Destroyer was left red-faced when he got a question about our country wrong - despite visiting our shores less than 12 months ago.

Going head-to-head with Victoria, host Bradley Walsh asked the pair which New Zealand city was in the South Island.

The possible answers were Hamilton, Wellington or Nelson - with Shaun choosing Wellington.

What made the mistake cut Kiwis deep was that the popular Chaser was here in November last year to host the Sky New Zealand Pub Quiz Championship in Auckland, before also visiting Dunedin, Christchurch, Palmerston North, Whangarei and - yep, you guessed it - Wellington.

That trip also happened to be his second visit to New Zealand.

Maybe he needs another visit to New Zealand to refresh his trivia mind on where Wellington is located!
