A hotel that lets guests foster and even adopt a dog during their stay!

"She wanted to have the business more involved with the community," explained Bianca Janik, South Mississippi Animal Shelter's Relations Manager.

"It was a very out-of-the-box way to find our animals' new homes so we were on board."

Home 2 Suites has partnered with the Humane Society of South Mississippi to tackle the problem of overpopulated shelter, which takes in about 8,000 dogs a year.

While the program hasn't expanded it to other hotels yet, the Humane Society of South Mississippi is open to the idea.

So far, 33 guests have gone home with dogs from the hotel.
