Watch Shaun Wallace quiz the passengers on an Air New Zealand flight

Passengers on a flight between Queenstown and Wellington got to have their Air NZ inflight quiz read out by none other than Shaun Wallace, from British television quiz show "The Chase".

Footage of Wallace commandeering the AV system midflight was uploaded to Facebook and shows the "Dark Destroyer" asking passengers questions about New Zealand with passengers guessing the answers.

He then reportedly handed out the lollies before the flight touched down and posed for photos with the crew.

This isn't the first time this month Wallace has surprised New Zealanders with his quiz hosting mastery.

Earlier this month, he stopped by the studio to have a chat with Jase and Bernie about winning Mastermind while in the middle of a trial.

Take a look at that video here:

He revealed the show has a waiting list for contestants of about three years.

He also said it's not just contestants who have no idea who the Chaser is for each show. Host Bradley Walsh also doesn't know as the Chasers are kept separate from everyone else and all come through different doors.

Wallace is the only Chaser who, win or lose, will meet and greet the contestants after the game.

He also revealed that Paul Sinnerman and himself are on a London Tuesday night pub quiz team, and actually only win 50 per cent of the time.
